Japanese Cards Slideshow

Here's a Japanese Cards slideshow showcasing some Japanese cards I created and sent out to friends locally and abroad as RAKs as well as those received from friends who are like me; love to make greeting cards as an art form.

Note: RAK means Random Acts of Kindness. These are things we do for someone - deeds of kindness - without their asking for them. For card-crafters, we send handmade cards to bring cheer to people; family members, friends, or even strangers.

Many of my artsy friends love Japanese designs and like making greeting cards that depict the simplicity of Japanese style. Unfortunately, we don't have many Japanese art rubber stamps and so will have to use our own creativities to create our cards. Many use images not meant for Japanese art but incorporated these into their art works.

I think you will see lots of kimono design cards as well as cards with images like the cherry blossoms or sakura flowers. Images of dragonfly is another favorite as well as fans.

Have a look!

Well, I love making cards that are of an oriental theme so will be making more to send out. Once I completed a card, I will try to scan and upload an image to this slideshow. So do drop by more often and see new additions to this show.

Meanwhile, do create some handmade cards and participate in the wonderful exchange of homemade greeting cards with your friends or send a RAK to someone who needs some heartfelt cheer.

Have a great day!
