Sailboat Christmas Cards
Sending Sailboat Christmas cards to those who love to go sailing. These sailing Christmas cards are also great for Christmas cards to son, boy friend or husband if they are the outdoor kind with a love for the sea. I created this sailing greeting card using a clip art image of a man in a sailboat. You can find many of these clip art images on the internet. Just do a Google Search for sailboat or sailing images. Here is the Sailing Christmas Card design.

You can use the clipart image to make a variety of Sailboat Christmas Cards. Just change the colors of the sails to suit the occasion or according to the color of the recipient's sailboat color. You can also change the background. Use pattern paper. There are so many different kind of pattern papers in the market. You can easily find them in scrapbooking stores. Some even have textured surface. Most of them are 12 x 12 paper or card stock since they are produced for scrapbookers. For me in this sailboat Christmas greeting card, I drew a frame using my Pigma Micron 005 pen and paint the frame and waves with watercolors. Because I need to make the waves, I do this on a 5.5" x 3.75" white card stock. After painting, I used a pen knife to cut on some of the curves which represent the waves. Then I rolled the curved cuts out to form waves. Print out the sailboat clipart image and trim closely to the image with a pair of scissors. Attach to the wave background with doubled-sided foam tape. Finally, attach the whole piece to the front of a folded white card. Use a Pigma Micron 03 pen to write Merry Christmas on one of the sail and I'm done.
