Actually, black is a lovely colour. Most of us girls have a black dress in our wardrobe. It's a dress that we can wear to any function. Some girls just love the colour black.

Anything and everything they have and buy will be in black. So for these people, we specially make black and white Christmas cards for the holiday season.

The above Christmas card is also great to make for cat lovers.

Cat Christmas Cards do look good without any colour added. What I did for this Christmas greeting card is just rubber stamping.

I used a cat rubber stamp by Magenta Rubber Stamp. I love this stamp and used it very often. Below is the direction for making this classic greeting card.

Card Making Direction for Black White Christmas Kitty Card

  • Stamp on white cardstock with black dye ink.
  • Trim around the edge of the image.
  • Apply double-sided foam tape and paste on the left side of a 5" x 3.5" white card.
  • Use a Christmas word stamp to stamp a Christmas greetings with black dye ink on the right side of the white card.
  • On another white card, I stamped a black snowflake.
  • Trim close to the image.
  • Stick a double-sided foam tape and attach to the right, next to the Christmas message.
  • Glue or use double-sided tape to attach to the front of the folded black card.

Below is another Black and White Christmas card.

Christmas in Paris - a black and white Christmas cardChristmas in Paris

The rubber stamp used is a Christmas collage stamp by Penny Black titled "Christmas in Paris". Love this rubber stamp.

All I did was...

  1. Stamp on white card stock measuring 5" by 3.5" with black dye ink.
  2. Glue the stamped white card to the folded black card front.
  3. Place it leaning to the left.
  4. Add a little black ribbon about 3 quarter to the bottom of the black white greeting card.

Simple, right?

You can also add some freshwater pearls or other embellishments - crystal beads - to give some shine to these black white Christmas cards. Or add a white or black silk flower to the left on the black ribbon.

That's it! Now to make more Black and White Christmas cards with this holiday card design.

I will be adding more examples of these cards so do bookmark this website to see the new handmade greeting cards.
